In order to receive a DOI the datasets should be formatted in a community-accepted standard and should have gone through quality assurance by a person with the relevant knowledge. Once you have filled in a metadata record for a dataset that meets these criteria, you can submit a ticket to the Data Curation team to request a DOI be assigned to it.
